Want to do mission work in Japan? Already doing mission work in Japan and want to help with something else also?
From May 12 to June 10, 2016, Mount Akagi Institute, a supporting ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and Outpost Centers International member, is needing hands and hearts for repairs on campus and evangelism in town.
We are increasing our evangelism work and need our facilities on campus to be more acceptable. The buildings on campus are decades old and need renovations. Also, the mission team will help advance the evangelism work in town with their many extra hands.
The main objective of this project is to make repairs on the buildings here, which are decades old, so that we can have more suitable facilities for
students, health guests, and visitors to come.
Also, just as important, we are planning some evangelism to help reach out to the community more during this time. Our team here at Mount Akagi is small, therefore we will really appreciate the extra hands.
Repairs (about $60,000 needed):
and more if we have time and money.
As for evangelism, we are splitting the month (May 12-June 10) into two segments. In the second part we will hold evening meetings for the community. In the first part we will be getting the community ready for the meetings. Also, at least one health expo will be held.
As a thank you to our volunteers, there will be an excursion to Tokyo during the last week.
Please consider joining us in Japan, or at least supporting the mission and the participants with a financial contribution. Our fundraising goal is $60,000 for repairs and a little more for hosting our helpers. You can donate on our page on OCI’s website. All donations are US tax deductible. Click the donate button on the right, under the Mount Akagi Institute banner. If their online donation option is not working, you can call them at 423-236-5600
